A humble bubble tea (珍珠奶茶). It is surprising that it has taken me so long to highlight this, given that it is practically the national drink of the country and that I had originally considered posting it as the first picture upon arrival. They are quite filling for a simple drink — the pearls are almost enough to fool you into thinking you’ve had a proper meal.

Tonight I felt like taking a short stroll in the evening, and so wandered up on the same mountain from a few days ago, bringing something with me to consume as I watched planes take off from Songshan behind the Taipei skyline.
