Vietnamese food is relatively rare in Stockholm, at least compared to cities like Berlin. But Taiwan is a country that has surprised me in the degree in which it is connected to south-east Asia. It exists in the boundary zone between Japan, mainland China, and the Philippines, and its culinary tradition strongly reflects that. One such example is tonight’s dinner, grilled meat with cold rice noodles (烤肉涼拌米粉).
